Dining Room Marsh
My first mural was painted in 2003 at the Ford Plantation in Richmond Hill, GA. The mural was a marsh scene painted in subtle tones in a dining room.
Moon Over Wormsloe
Commissioned painting for a Wylly Island residence. Full moon rising above the aptly named Moon River (made famous by the Johnny Mercer song) and Wormsloe Plantation.
Ogeechee River TV Panels
Commissioned painting on cabinet doors concealing a flat screen TV at the Ford Plantation in Richmond Hill, GA. The painting features the Ogeechee River, the Ford oyster house, and flora and fauna of the area. The panels were antiqued so that it would appear to be an older painting above the fireplace.
Lowcountry Chinoiserie
Chinoiserie mural with a twist… flora and fauna of the Lowcountry. The murals were glazed with a strie finish to give the look of aged silk.
Faux Travertine Column
Faux travertine columns in an Indigo Run residence, Hilton Head Island, SC.
CSS Nashville Mural
Commissioned mural for a Ford Plantation, Richmond Hill, GA residence. The sepia tone mural depicts the CSS Nashville moored in the nearby Ogeechee River.
Alligator Walking
Commissioned painting for a Palmetto Bluff residence, Bluffton, SC. Painted on gessoed burlap panel board, this painting measures 4′ x 8′. It was distressed and glazed for an aged look.
Refinished Antique Hutch
This hutch was in rough shape when I first saw it. The stained finish was too dark for the room, was two separate pieces (the top was mounted to the wall) and missing moldings. I made it one piece with added mirrors and trim, replaced missing trim, and gave it an antique red finish with black glaze and rubbed gold accents. Now a bar, located in Dahlonega, GA.
Oysters
Commissioned painting for a Richmond Hill residence.
Palm, Pine, and Oak
Commissioned painting for a Sea Pines residence, Hilton Head Island, SC. Inspired by a view overlooking the May River.
Cockspur Island Lighthouse Mural
This dining room mural depicts a 360 degree view of Tybee Island, the Cockspur Island Lighthouse, Fort Pulaski and Lazaretto Creek.
